Hiking
There is a lot of hiking possibilities in the area. In french it is called randonée (this word could however also have the meaning “roundtrip”).
It is popular to use Kamoot or Rando Landes for finding routes. Plot in the Château address. Gabarret or Escalans to find routes in the area.
“Built on a former railway line linking Gabarret to Mont de Marsan, the Voie verte du Marsan et de l'Armagnac offers a mosaic of landscapes to pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders over 52 km.”
Approximately 2 hours drive south you can go hiking in the Pyrenées . Lourdes and Cauterets are good starting points for nice mountain hikes.
